Self -Improvement

I like to refer to this as returning to your natural self, building a good foundation, so that we can build a strong structure.

All change comes first with Self. We control our environment with how we manage aspects of self through morals, principals, goals, intelligence, personality, being self-aware, successful events and how we define progress to name a few.

As the earth rotates, times keeps moving, age keeps progressing, which means we are surrounded with kinetic energy.

If we review science, the essence of life is never Stagnant!

In fact, the opposite of stagnation is vibrant, dynamic ,  rehabilitate, recover, progress, recuperate, remedy, mend and flourish, cleanse, and cure.

This implies we can always be made anew.

Trauma: Tools for Recovery

As children we seemed to be fearless , always testing the boundaries of gravity, and social relationships, physical capabilities, and much more. When did we start living in so much doubt, and apprehension?

Ask yourself : what are you most afraid of? Have you seen an increase in apprehension? Due you suffer from poor relationships?

Do you constantly blame others for dissolved or chaotic relationships? Are you holding on to Secrets, lies, avoidant behaviors , increased isolation, depression  can all be associated with past trauma.

The list can continue on and on, trauma impacts our lives in ways we are not aware of.

**Most important factor is identifying, and being self-aware that you have experienced some form of Trauma..

**Deactivate the Trauma through interventions designed to lessen the electrical charge on that event.

**RE-file your trauma in another place that it doesn't keep popping up every time you find yourself in a familiar setting in which the trauma took place.

Escape Feeling Overwhelmed

How do we find ourselves in situations that leave us feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes this causes us to to give up, or procrastinate, or even neglect our own personal goals.

Quick Tips to escaping the often traveled road entitled: OVERWHELMED:

1: Create a rough sketch of how your day will look the night before. The next morning, confirm that same schedule, this is to ensure there is nothing you didn't miss or forget to list, sometimes weather interferes with your plans, or other pressing task arise that may challenge the schedule.

2: If you know you allow others to jump in and dictate your day, leave room in your schedule for those tasks. Many of us have spouses, significant others, and children that

are the main cause of us feeling overwhelmed- due to their last minute request, forgotten events, assignments, school and job obligations they attempt to bate you in with an attempt to save themselves from poor planning and impulsive ideas.

3: Find balance in everyday, engage in something healthy, find moment to put yourself first.

4: Set BOUNDARIES: Stay in control of your activities for the day!

5: Do something new toward your long-term and short term goals, so when you find yourself on the couch watching your favorite show, you don't feel guilty because you would of already completed or engaged in productive activity.

6: Most importantly--Learn who you are as a person! Set realistic goals you know you can achieve, and ask for HELP when you start to feel an increase in anxiety, or your mood drops due to falling out of balance with your day.

Exploring Family Dynamics

**What Influences Family Dynamics**

1: The makeup of the family and how members define the term "family"

2: How the family works and compensates for missing components (roles) such as single parent household, or no children,

3: Personalities of the family members

**Each family member has their own story or perspective regarding family dynamics, conflict, progress, achievements and behavior patterns.  It is important that everyone involved , listen and respect each others perspective, however, acknowledge how participating members impact the whole.

I see a Family as a Team, and every team member has their own set of skills and role to perform. For many families, members take on more than one role, however , this can be successful if we find ourselves back in our primary roles in an appropriate amount of time. It is usually problematic when we find ourselves semi-permanently in a role not designated for us to occupy.
